Looking Back On Haiti

Posted: April 6th 2011

We had so many blessing of that trip. I wanted to detail just a few

Working with the Haitian Pastor Marc was great . Seeing his dedication and diligence. He started the church from zero and now five years later has approx 100 faithful believers including some who left the Voodoo cult.

Meeting Haitian villagers as we visited from door to door and seeing how they actually live their lives on a daily basis. Several of them were ill and just lying outside on a mat spread out on the ground. Li…

Back From Haiti

Posted: March 21st 2011

It was another world. We traveled outside the city of Port au Prince, about a one and half hour drive. It seemed like we were on another continent. It felt like a different cosmos. Our experience was totally new from last year where we lived in the earthquake ravaged capital city.

Our trip to the village of Merceron was a total shock. This is what we saw. I will just give you a list of things and let you absorb it the way we saw it when we were there.

Women carried water in buckets …

Getting Close

Posted: March 2nd 2011

Only a week away and our Haiti Team leaves for an exciting adventure with God.

Thank you for praying. Please continue to pray. God is answering prayers for the team. Our team members Justin and Nina Fischer are now only a few hundred dollars short of the needed amount.

Our airfare went up at the last moment and each member of the team had to come forth with another 300. dollars. But all money has come in except the last 300. dollars for the Fischers. Please pray and God will hear no doubt!…

Posted: January 20th 2011

As you know Haiti is still in very desperate need of much help and prayers.

Our Haiti Team will leave rather soon , Mar. 11-18 for an important ministry there of evangelism, orphan care and encouragement to leaders and Pastors.

Will you pray now and until we leave for a great outreach? Pam I and are truly grateful that our financial needs have been taken care of. However, some of our six team members really need financial assistence. Would you pray for them? They are really stepping out …

The Nutcracker

Posted: January 11th 2011

Over the holidays Pam and I went to see the Nutcracker at the historic Paramount Theatre in Oakland.

We had a special reason for making the trip. My niece was dancing in the starring role as Marie. Also my sister from West Virginia came many miles through winter snow storms to see her daughter perform the lead role.

We were all bursting with pride and excitement to see our beautiful family member achieving a life long dream (she is the ripe old age of 21 years) come true.

But no one j…

Surprise Gift

Posted: December 25th 2010

Yes I received a surprise! Overcome! I was totally blown away by what happen last Sunday after the sermon!

We had a great "Sounds of Christmas Joy" musical worship service with lots of special talent last week and then it happened. They surprised me with a Christmas present.

The elders came up with Pastor Mark and said they had a surprise gift for me. First they all prayed for me and Pam and our ministry. Next they put three boxes on a table in front of me and said open.

It was like the…

Thanksgiving

Posted: November 18th 2010

I can't believe we are in the fall and close to THANKSGIVING again!

So now is the official time to be thankful. It is popular to be thankful. It is expected to be thankful. It is proper to be thankful. It is almost required to be thankful. It is rude not to be thankful. It is atheistic to not be thankful.

So everywhere you go people are thankful because it is totally expected to give thanks and count your blessings. RIGHT?

But when I read the Bible I discover that thanksgiving is to be…

Almost But....no

Posted: November 11th 2010

Well it sometimes happens that way. We thought we were making a move to our own building for Worship each Sunday.

But no.... it did not happen. We had many dreams for the new location, but ....no. We were going to have Thanksgiving and Christmas in our own building,but...no. Our youth would finally have room to meet and play games and goof off in their own room, but ...no. Everything was going to be really special,but... no.

The move did not materialize because it was too expensive, I …

Still Rejoicing Over Baja Miracles

Posted: October 20th 2010

We had so many blessings on our recent trip. It was highlighted by some real objective miracles.

Last blog I mentioned the great answer to prayer in crossing the border with hundreds of pounds of clothes. It was a miracle that we were not charged, refused, or turned around on the spot.

We also experienced the miracle of immediate healing for one of our team members suffering from kidney pain since the beginning of the trip. Halfway through our ministry his pain became very severe. O…
