OUR YOUTH ARE GREAT
07-08-2010
Please check out the most recent video (a few minutes) on the Media page. You will see our incredible youth on their houseboat trip.
God is at work in the lives of our young people. Many have re-dedicated their lives to the Lord, one is becoming a youth/leader intern, another just recently received Christ as Savior and a young man has discovered his leadership skills as a result of this trip.
Thanks to Youth Pastor Mark and his wife Sasha many great things happened on this fantastic Lake Shast Houseboat Retreat.
Talk to our youth, see their video, learn from them and you will also be inspired and motivated to re-dedicate your life to the Lord.
P.S. Don't forget about the Haiti Ministry and how you can support orphans for $5.00 per month. See my two previous blogs. Thank you for reading and responding.

HELPING HAITI HEAL
06-22-2010
It will take many many believers and lots of resources over a period of years but God is faithful.
Our burden for Haiti is still so strong and the great needs are ever present.
What if every believer gave just 5.00 per month to help rescue and educate orphan kids? That would make a great difference!
We saw hundreds of these children but even worse were the thousands still stuck on the streets and in tents.
We came away from Haiti with the burden to help Pastor Daniel and his two orphanages. This young man only 35 years old was himself an orphan and now as a Pastor of 500 people in his church on Sunday he also runs two homes for impoverished children.
Would you be willing to contribute 5.00 per month to Help Haiti Heal it's orphan children?
Please let me know if you wish to participate in this significant work.
James 1:27 reminds us that our job is to help the widows and orphans of the world.
Please check my previous blog for more information and see the Haiti photos on our web. Also please check our missions page for two articles that appeared in our local paper. I was so glad they gave us this excellent coverage.

RETURN FROM HAITI
05-25-2010
Yes, we made it back alive. It was a great , exhausting culture shock. We have been to Baja to the Mestako Indians but this was beyond that experience. We have been to the Triqui Indians and their cardboard and plastic homes but this was a greater stretch. We have been 7000 miles to Ukraine but the shock was even more difficult.
"The Earthquake" left extensive damage greater than what we saw on TV. The poverty left us sick at what people did to survive. The heat, humidity, odors, diesel fumes and hours long ride in the back of a pickup with a protective cage harboring us was the worst ride to and from our destinations. The beautiful children crowded into orphanages with little to eat was heartbreaking.
What did we enjoy? Haitian singing by kids and adults was the best blessing. They were not lamenting the loss and devastation one minute. The beautiful church with 450 people dressed in their best outfits was exhilarating. The name of this church was A SAVING STATION FOR EVERY NATION. That was one of my highlights to preach God's word to my Haitian brothers and sisters.
We immensely enjoyed the children in the four orphanages we surveyed. These kids were bright, well mannered, fun loving and full of faith and the knowledge of the Scripture. Many of them hung on our arms and touched our hair to get to know us. They also said things like "I love you" in English and "Take me home". Some had been adopted and they knew it was a real possibility for it to happen.
Even though we stayed in a nice hotel we were wrung out in sweat, heat exhaustion, long pickup truck rides through crowded traffic jams(literally hours) and long days of ministry to children. The trip was definitely worth all the expense and effort.
Out team will go back again. We will sponsor an orphanage, We will take others with us. We will pray for God's moving in the hearts of the devastated people and orphans. We will raise money to make a difference for the Lord.
Soon I will have photos on the media page for all to see. You can make a difference. Pray for the orphans and designate a sacrificial gift to Cornerstone Haiti Mission.

PLEASE PRAY
05-13-2010
We are very close to stepping on the AA flight to Haiti.
Our team is small but very prepared to go and serve the Lord on behalf of Cornerstone.
Dale and Cher Grenie will share the ministry along with Pam and I for 5 days to the earthquake devasted region of Carrefour,Port au Prince, and Petionville. We leave Fri. May 14th.
Our mission will be visit several orphanages to meet the leaders and serve the kids in their needs. We are looking for an opportunity to eventually sponsor one of these orphanages in this region. As you know there are over 100,000 children in these very humble homes. Some are true orphans and others have been given away by parents because they cannot afford to feed and clothe them any longer.
We are taking shoes, shorts, skirts, t shirts, toys, backpacks, medications and lots of love. It will be a short stay but we hope to bring others back to help serve the orphans, their leaders and the missionaries too.
Please pray for our team to experience the power of God and share His great burden for the millions who have lost everything.
We will bring back a photo report of all we did and saw in Haiti. Also I will have the privilege to speak to a Haitian Church while there on Sunday May 16th.
You can have a ministry in Haiti also by holding us up to God for guidance and good health these next few days. Thank you!

ADJUSTMENT
04-29-2010
I went to the chiropractor recently for an adjustment. I have done well with my back for many months now no problem. All winter was fine and I was totally amazed. It felt great.
But this spring! Well--- things happened, you know outside in the garden, shoveling, and pulling weeds, and raking and all the outdoor stuff took its toll.
So the back started doing its REBELING. And I really wasn't surprized. I have so much fun in the back yard that I knew sooner or later it would rebel.
So off to the chiropracter I went and got straightened out again.
Back Adjustment or Attitude Adjustment or Spiritual Adjustment. They need to be fixed.
Back adjustments are so easy (relatively speaking). In and out in fifteen minutes. Correct the malady on the short leg and everything is good to go for another month or so. Winning with a great Dr. is so fine!
Attitude adjustments are not so easy. Being lazy, or angry, or discouraged, or selfish, or hypocritical, well they take more time. After emerging from my denial it means admitting that I was wrong sinful and lazy.
Now Spiritual Adjustments would be impossible except for Jesus. "Dear Jesus please forgive me I was wrong."
Yes, those difficult words do make a miraculous difference. And they always work wonders for me.
Thank you Jesus for once again adjusting my relationship with you and others. You are the best "Spiritual Chiropractor" in the business.
I recommend Him every time.
